I am a self-taught master of many styles and techniques. From trompe l'oeil to graffiti or photorealism, whether portraiture, landscape or abstract, if you know what you would like to have on your walls (perhaps ceilings and floors too) then I am at your service. If you only have a vague idea, then I'm happy to guide and make suggestions. If you have no idea at all, just want something new, something fresh to impress customers and friends, then allow me to think up a design at no obligation until work commences. See the Murals page for examples.
MATERIALS & COSTS
I use mainly acrylic paints and/or natural pigments, so odours and drying times remain minimal. (Materials are charged separate to quotes with receipts supplied as required.)
I do not have set rates, preferring to look at a job, often visiting more than once to get to know the space, and discuss directly with a client possibilities, budget and time scale. I then usually present, without obligation, 2 or 3 options ranging in complexity and cost, before a quote is agreed and the artwork is begun. Voila. Getting started is the exciting part!
I currently offer my services in London, Zurich and Berlin, but I am pleased to consider contracts elsewhere.
I have lived and worked around Europe for over twenty years, but am returning to the UK for a while. Drop me a line if you think my services could be of use to you. I'm willing to travel, to work alone or join a team, whilst working professionally across a range of creative fields. I am meticulous regarding tidiness and cleaning. For example, if I decorate a business premises which is up and running, I can work between opening hours and be tidied away according to restraints. I am used to working all hours and to deadlines.
By the way, while earning a living as a scenic artist, I am also busy with conceptual art. More about that at: www.ParadoxPaul.com
